Information You Submit
Search entries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that powers the tool. Utah Released Inmates does not keep or log those terms on its own system.
Messages
If you send an email or contact-form message, it may be retained long enough to respond and manage the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine logs and measurement tools may record basic technical details when a page loads.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies can help measure how visitors move through the site. You may block them through browser controls, although some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
- Operate and improve site speed
- Send a search to the selected partner service
- Measure which Utah reference pages are useful
- Diagnose errors and security issues
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Other Sites and Services
Links lead to Utah jail rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, court and agency portals, county sites, and outside search tools. Once you leave, the destination's own privacy rules apply.
Advertising providers may track activity across sites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems under their policies, not as a Utah government record.
